*** Special Announcements ***

*** Effective July 2, 2007, a new login procedure was implemented in order to provide immediate access to both the AMECDAII and AME-CHURCH websites by using a single login and password. All persons who are eligible to have access to the AMECDAII website can now navigate between the two websites by simply clicking on the appropriate link at the top of the page after initial login. Only persons who are eligible for and enrolled in the AMEC Retirement Annuity and Group Life Insurance Plan will be allowed to view annuity information. Persons not eligible to view annuity information will only be able to access the AMEC website and must have access to a valid church ID number.

If you have any questions or issues, please contact the:

AMEC Administration - (615) 254-0911 or

AMECDAII Administration (Toll Free) - (800) 992-6327

*** AMEC Retirement Plan for Pastors and Presiding Elders (403b) - This Retirement Plan is separate and apart from the AMEC Retirement Annuity Plan and is funded exclusively by the General Treasury of the AME Church. All active pastors and Presiding Elders are eligible to receive a pro rata share of an annual contribution. However, you must submit documentation to confirm your Date of Ordination as an Itinerant Deacon OR your first Episcopal Appointment to a local church. This information must be submitted no later than December 31st of each year. If you have previously provided this information, no further action is needed.

*** Considering Retirement? - If you are approaching the mandatory retirement age of 75, or if you are a candidate for immediate retirement, you should contact the department for information regarding required procedures for retirement. The retirement process normally requires 3-4 weeks to complete after all required documentation has been completed and received by the department.
