Dr. Jerome V. Harris
Executive Director/Plan Administrator
Prior to his election to the office of General Officer of the church in July 2000,
Dr. Harris served as a pastor for 30 years, which also included serving as Presiding
Elder on two separate occasions in the Ninth Episcopal District. His last pastorate
was Historic Brown Chapel African Methodist Episcopal in Selma, Alabama where he
served for seven (7) years.
In December 2000, Dr. Harris retired as a Senior Vice President, Group Manager and
Regional Economic Development Officer with the Regions Financial Corporation where
he served for thirty (30) years. He is an alumnus of Alabama State University and
the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Banking. Dr. Harris is the seventh
(7th) elected Executive Director of the AMEC Department of Annuity Investments &
Insurance.

Mrs. Sandra E. Harris
Executive Assistant to the Director/Coordinator, Quality Control
After her retirement from the US Civil Service (Department of the Air Force) as
a Systems Analyst, (GS-11), Mrs. Harris relocated to Memphis and began serving with
the department in February, 2005. She is responsible for the assignment, distribution
and overall Quality Control of all business related matters of the department while
also serving as Executive Assistant to the Director.
She holds a BS degree in Business Education/English and has previously taught Business
Education on the college level in Montgomery, Alabama.

Mr. Irven Wright
Staff Accountant/Administrative Assistant
Mr. Wright has been a member of the staff since January, 2003 and serves as Internal
Accountant for the department. He is responsible for all billing, accounts receivable
and payable, tax filings and bank reconciliation.
In addition, he assists in the verification and manual posting of all annuity and
insurance payments.

Ms. Gloria J. Peterson
Executive Administrative Assistant
Gloria joined the AMECDAII team in January, 2008 after relocating to Memphis in
December of the previous year. A native of Montgomery, AL; Gloria has worked in
several positions related to finance. She has served as an executive secretary in
a major banking environment for several years, and was most recently employed as
an accountant after receiving her undergraduate degree in that field.
In her present position, she serves as executive administrative assistant to the
Executive Director. In this capacity, she is responsible for executive scheduling
and correspondence, compiling of required reports, and the day to day oversight
of department operations.
